In April, the Building Society, HKUSU was established.

 

The Building Society was granted full affiliation to the Students' Union, HKUSU.

 

The Building Society was renamed the Surveying Society (SS).

 

Due to the introduction of the new course, B.Sc. (Surveying), in addition to QS students and graduates, members of the Surveying Society also include BS and GP students.

 

After the graduation of the students from the B.Sc. (Quantity Surveying) course, all the full members are now the students from the B.Sc. (Surveying) course.

 

Professor A. Walker resigned from the port Head of Department of Surveying. The Chair was taken over by Mr. K.G. McKinnell.

 

Starting from the Academic Session 93-94, a general Surveying Course was introduced to the First Year of studying.

 

At the beginning of the year, the Department of Surveying was renamed as the Department of Real Estate and Construction.

 

Upon the expiry of the term of Headship of Mr. K.G. McKinnell, the post of Head of Department of Real Estate and Construction was taken over by Mr. H.F. Leung.

 

Ms. Tam Mei Yin, Clare, Chairman of Surveying Society Session 2005-2006, became the first female Chairman of Society's history.

 

Upon the expiry of the term of Headship of Mr. H.F. Leung, the post of Head of Department of Real Estate and Construction was taken over by Dr. Daniel C.W. Ho.

 

Upon the expiry of the term of Headship of Dr. Daniel C.W. Ho, Dr. Liu, Anita M. M. has started the post of Head of Department of Real Estate and Construction.

 

Due to the undergraduate curriculum reform, double cohort B.Sc. (Surveying) students were admitted this year. Four-year B.Sc. (Surveying) course was first offered.

 

Upon the expiry of the term of Headship of Professor Anita M. M. Liu, the post of Head of Department of Real Estate and Construction was taken over by Professor K.W. Chau.

Upon the expiry of the term of Headship of Professor K.W. Chau, the post of Head of Department of Real Estate and Construction was taken over by Professor S.K. Wong.

Upon the expiry of the term of Headship of Professor S.K. Wong, the post of Head of Department of Real Estate and Construction was taken over by Professor W.S. Lu.
